My Dysfunctional Family

Well, I come from a dysfunctional family, what do I know about them, and a broken system called our government? Follow along and maybe I can explain.

Talk about dysfunctional families, which generation? My Paternal grandmother left her marriage with my 2 year old father because the work on the farm was tooo hard. She loved aeronautics, even I have an admiration for flying, I wonder why?

My mother had my father removed from our house with a sheriff's escort as she had him served with papers, I remember one night a fight where my mother took his pistol and aimed it at my father. Fortunately when she went to pull the trigger she didn't realize that there was a safety on the pistol. My father took the pistol away from my mother, but at that time I think he knew. He knew the answer that he was looking for, she never loved him enough to respect his life and opinions.

I am in a relationship that was spoiled, by a woman that was abused by her father. I made some mistakes as in not being certain if my choice was the right one for me. Was I being led by GOD to this woman? Well after our daughter was born my wife's father passed on. He was my wife's abuser, the psychiatric doctor that worked with her father had told my wife for her mental health she needed to stay away from that man. He tried to kill her one day, I was called from work to come to the rescue. We lived in the other half of the twin that he owned. It was temporary while I tried to save for a down payment for a trailer (a mobile home). I set a savings schedule for the two of us to live on our own I deposited 2/3 and asked her to contribute a third to establish a fund for our living on our own terms. The way we ended up together was that I was chased out of my mothers house, I ended up on my girlfriends door step. It was a cold November night, and the only means of transportation that I had was a motorcycle, a little 350 Honda CBX. My father came to my rescue when the bike had fallen over and the shift linkage and brake lever got bent, I had stopped where a gentleman had been burning leaves and yard waste, I wasn't dressed for a cold night ride. Earlier a car ran a stopsign and I almost crashed, the motorist never looked to see if there was another motorist on the road coming near the intersection. I had a quater and my father had a pick-up truck, I knew of a scout camp where there was a pay phone, I picked up the damaged motorcyle that fell over because the soft shoulder of the road, I thanked the man for allowing me to warm myself by his fire and I went back to the scout camp. I called for my father to come and pick me up, I called my girlfriend to see if she would help me out. She was more than happy to help me.

My father in law died after we were married in 1987 and well after we were married we had our first child 1991. Her father gave the estate to his niece. I wanted to challenge the will but my wife wore the pants at the time, it was her fathers property and she made a decision without discussing it with me. I was told what she would do, and she never heard my concerns. I tried to confront her cousin who complained that she needed his house to pay for her childrens college tuition. What about our daughter? Nobody cares about our children, my children, my daughter. I almost left the relationship because of the disrespect. Thanks to the Church and Jesus we were able to reconcile the marriage at that point in time. But the issue left scars.

Those old wounds would be opened wide...
